At last the school holidays are upon us!
I am delighted that now I can lay in bed, get up when I want to, sit up late at night and not worry about the alarm and just generally laze about. WRONG! I arrived home from work yesterday with a rotten peppery sore throat and cough. Guess who has been in bed most of the day feeling ill and has also lost her voice? Typical isn't it! Still, at least it's at the start of the holidays and I can look forward to the rest of the holiday.
So, what has anyone got planned??
Anyone going to London? Remember those London bus tours are just great fun and you can get on and off whenever you want. I am a born and bred Londoner and I learnt so much about my own city. I really suggest a trip. The London Transport museum is really worth a trip too....it's all been done up and is just totally amazing now. The gift shop is very unkind to your purse though so be warned.
The weather is amazing at the moment and we really do all need to get out and enjoy it before it changes again. I have pottered in the garden and planted more lettuce leaves. The beetroot may be dug up this weekend I think and the beans are still flowering so no beans just yet. Then again, I did plant them late. The toms are still green but no matter, they are coming along nicely.
Now, what shall I do tomorrow????
