What miserable weather we have had today! As a last minute dash to entertain the family we all agreed that a visit to the newly revamped London Transport museum would be a good way to past an hour or two. My son just adores the London Underground and can recite every tube station on every line and every little thing about them all.

We arrived to see a rather large queue waiting to get in there and our hearts sank. Oh well, we all agreed that we had better get on the queue and wait patiently. The entrance was a shock I have to say: £10.50 per adult but thankfully under 16 year olds were free. We had a lovely few hours in there to be honest and the shop was just fab. You know when you just want to buy everything in there?? Well, I wanted to buy a couple of mugs. They had a mug for every tube line so that would have been a big choice so in the end I didn't get any! Then I had to get a fridge magnet as I ALWAYS have to buy a fridge magnet no matter where I am. They even sell handbags made from the rather attractive (not!) material the seating is made from on trains. £69 to have a handbag made from such material didn't get my spending spree fingers wanting to reach for the credit card thankfully.

So, if you find yourself at Covent Garden you really must make a point of popping into the museum, it really is worth it!
