I have slaved all week to get all my work done so that today was the day for me to collapse out in the garden in the sun. I also planned to do some pottering about in the garden and plant some runner beans and beetroot.

Where's the sun??

I don't know about where you are but here in sunless London it's a tad cloudy. I feel cheated now. Do you think that somewhere up in the sky there is a man with a wicked and warped sense of humour who knows it's the weekend and turns the sun off?? I am begining to think there is you know!

Have your neighbours started the barbie up yet? Ours never stopped all through the winter I don't think. We are planning one later so aim to wait till they get all their washing out on the line and will then fire it up. What?? Why not? They always do that to me :)) I hate having my clothes smelling of veggie burgers and ther barbie lighter fuel stuff. Yuk, nasty smell that is!

Now, pass the chicken, ribs and all that barbie stuff please......
